Volunteer
This first year will be heavily relied on volunteer work to get off the ground and help as many families as we can. We plan to have a full paid staff by mid 2022 so those with a passion and possible career in the future would be ideal. These are the fields where help is needed most right now:
- Research: We want to study household demographics to determine where to focus our energy best, and also track the details we aim to improve most.
- Mentors: Obviously a specific skill set and knowledge is needed, but training is available to help if you have a desire to make a difference.
- Speakers: The more speakers we have, the more people we can reach in less amount of time. A personal story of overcoming adversity is suggested, but not mandatory.
- Online specialists: As we grow, we will need to expand and develop new avenues of contact and engagement. Social media managers, website maintenance, building and maintaining subscribers. The more experience the better in your field of expertise.

We are tailoring our presentation to Junior High and High School students in low income communities. Spanish speakers are available if requested. With these unprecedented times, we are focusing on web seminars and other virtual options as well.
